Hello, I’m Jan McLeod, a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP. Having lived in Cornwall for most of my life, I feel fortunate to have my grown-up children and their families nearby.
When I’m not working, I enjoy gardening, particularly growing vegetables which I love to cook and share with family and friends. I practise Pilates and value spending quality time with the people closest to me. I like to think of myself as down-to-earth, approachable, and above all, a good listener.
I work with a wide range of life’s challenges, from feelings of general dissatisfaction and relationship difficulties to addiction and mental health concerns. People often come to me when experiencing anxiety, depression, confusion, resentment, loneliness, anger, frustration, or fear.
My approach is person-centred, which means I believe that, with the right support, everyone has the capacity to find their own way towards a more fulfilling life. My role is to provide a safe, confidential space where you can speak openly, knowing that you will be listened to without judgement and supported as you work through life’s challenges.
Through a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship, personal growth and positive change can take place naturally.
