As the cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) rise daily and the UK Chief Medical Officer has raised the risk to public from low to moderate we are contemplating the best course of action to keep everyone safe. As it stands it seems prevention and good hygienic practices are the steps to take.

Please do not attend or book an appointment at The Wellness Hut if:
– you have been to an affected place in the last 14 days
– you have had contact with someone who has Coronavirus
– you have any of the following symptoms – Cough, Fever or Shortness of breath.
If you need to postpone an appointment because of any of the above please contact your therapist asap.

If you do attend The Wellness Hut for an appointment please thoroughly wash or sanitize your hands as you arrive and please be mindful of possible contamination on surfaces.

In the meantime keep washing your hands regularly for 20 seconds. Give your immune system a boost by eating a balanced diet including lots of fresh fruit and veg and good quality vitamins and minerals. Stay hydrated with plenty of water or herbal tea (Lemon, Honey and Ginger is a great combination). It’s also advised to get plenty of rest, a good night sleep and keep active to get a daily does of exercise.

Also consider your mental health, it is easy to get caught up in the drama of it all and start experiencing anxiety and stress related symptoms but this will in turn suppress the immune system making us more susceptible to catching a virus. Try practising deep breathing techniques or listening to a meditation if you start to feel anxiety creeping in.
